History & Background

The percentage of technically educated persons in our country is very poor. The greatest part of engineering collages , polytechnic institutes made their effort to increase this percentage up to on standard. Government is very much interested about technical education and spend much for mode- zing and improving the quality of technical education. Direct of technical education under the ministry of education supervise system directly.

After on 1962, it was renamed as a Chittagong Polytechnic Institute. It stands on Twenty Acres of land. There are three stored academic building, two stored Computer and Electro-medical building, five boys hostels, one women hostel, One mosque, One play Grounds. There are Principal Banglo, Teachers Quarter and staff Quarter in the Campus. Residential area is surrounded by various trees such as mango, Jack fruits, Guava, Coconut, battlenut etc.
